Meenakshi Batra, Chief Executive Officer
Meenakshi Batra is a seasoned and widely recognized professional with over 24 years' experience in international development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and not-for-profit sector. Her skills include a wide range of development sector approaches, institutional donor programme management, organizational development, budget and strategic planning. Meenakshi has extensive experience in the area of civil society, child and human rights, poverty and vulnerabilities, equity and social exclusion, gender and masculinities. She has served in various leadership roles with international development and humanitarian agencies in South and South East Asia. Meenakshi has successfully led large country programmes in India, Afghanistan and Indonesia working with leading international development NGOs.
Avijeet Kumar, Director
Avijeet has more than 20 years of work experience in the development sector and in teaching and research. He worked with Help Age India as director of Programmes for more than eight years before joining CAF India. He is a graduate in sociology from Delhi University and a National Scholar in the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics. He also holds an M.Phil. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Rakesh Goswami, Head of Finance and Operations
Rakesh Goswami is our head of finance operations. He is a veteran with more than 19 years of experience in heading up organizations' financial departments, 11 years of which have been dedicated to the development sector. Rakesh is an expert in taxation, FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulations Act) and the formulation of policies and procedures.
Sangeeta S. Thakral, Head of Marketing and Communications
Sangeeta is a communication and marketing specialist with more than 14 years of experience in the field of branding, communication, digital media, campaigns and training delivery. She has extensive experience of working in a cross-cultural global environment. Before joining CAF India Sangeeta managed several communication assignments mostly for the countries in the Middle East and Africa. She is a commerce graduate with diploma in software engineering. Sangeeta holds a certificate in international communications from Chartered Institute of Marketing, U K.
Ramona Bakshi, Head, Responsible Business and Sustainability
Ramona holds Masters in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS Singapore. She has over 10 years of experience and has created strategic sustained partnerships with both public and private sector, brand building community development initiatives and is a brilliant scholar for the theory of change. She is an expert in networking with central, state governments and corporates, capacity building, communication and advocacy, marketing, stakeholder management and business development. She heads the Responsible Business and Sustainability wing of CAF India.
Rashmi Wills, Head of Business Development
Rashmi has over two decades of professional experience ranging from office management and media marketing at HT Media Ltd. to fundraising and marketing in the development sector, which she began at Deepalaya in 2005. A strong believer in participatory leadership, she moved to Oxfam India in 2009 and later to Children International.
Nagasayee Malathy, Head - Programmes
Malathy is a post graduate in social sciences and possess almost three decades of experience in development sector which encompasses leading large organisations at country level in India and Overseas like IOM, HelpAge International etc. She has wide range of experience in promoting rights based approaches in India and overseas. She has lead senior professional teams in India, South and South East Asia in promoting Public Private Partnerships, CSR programme and policy development, human rights protection. She has constantly worked on gender and development, livelihood promotion, skill building/development, migration and development, counter trafficking, human rights etc., through multi-stakeholders approach.
