Stand with flood-hit states in India
More than 80 people dead. Many rendered homeless. Hundreds of animal lives lost. Thousands of villages washed away. The devastation and loss due to the current wave of floods has impacted close to 70 lakh people in the country.
While urban India’s struggle to wade through traffic jams made headlines, there is also a serious need to come together to help the marginalised section of the society in this hour of need. Assam, Bihar, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh are the worst-affected states in the country reeling under floods, even as the death toll continues to climb.
We stood together as one nation and helped our fellow Indians during the floods in Tamil Nadu last year. It is time again to lend a helping hand to the flood-affected people across the country and keep their hopes alive during these difficult times.
CAF India has already been in touch with its partners and volunteers on ground to assess the gravity of the situation. This is a battle we all need to fight together.
Let’s not wait any further. The need is to support them now.
