Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu has been inundated with unprecedented rainfall – the worst the city has seen in over a 100 years. Public transport, electricity and other essential services have resumed but it will be several weeks before normalcy returns. Close to 300 people have died in rain-related incidents as it continues to reel under the damage caused by the floods.

There has been an outpouring of support from all over the country and Charities Aid Foundation India stands in solidarity with the affected people of Tamil Nadu.
