2014 has been an impactful year – CAF India emerged stronger with combination of changes and opportunities that kept our team engaged and involved with all our stakeholders. We are now ready to carry forward the impetus gained during the year to make deeper inroads in 2015.

There has been an extraordinary growth of Indian generosity in recent years and our report on World Giving Index 2014 indicated this new trend. The report that was launched in November last year shows 93 million more Indians performed an act of kindness in 2013 compared to 2012 and also percentage of people helping a stranger in our country has increased by 10 points. We hope this momentum continues to grow and more Indians come forward to support the disadvantaged in our society with their act of compassion and giving.

Taking forward the mandate of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, our Right to Sanitation (RTS) initiative has found widespread acceptance from both individuals and corporate world. With government's thrust in the sanitation space, Clean India initiative is sure to raise the hygiene standards of Indians apart from building the much needed infrastructure. Through RTS campaign, we are committed to build toilets in 2000 schools and 20000 households across India. We invite more corporate houses as well citizens to come forward and support RTS to create an enabling environment for improved sanitation infrastructure and hygiene awareness across India.

Last quarter we also joined NDTV's Banega Swachh India campaign as the Managing Partner and are responsible for the overall execution of the program across the country including construction of toilets, communication and advocacy. We will also plan and oversee the operations of the on-ground implementation activities.

Our involvement in the sanitation space started with Coca Cola NDTV Support My School (SMS) campaign in 2010. After successfully completing two seasons, we have now entered the third season of this program to mobilize resources for improved school sanitation facilities. We, as the Managing Partner of this campaign have successfully worked with donors and institutional partners to bring a marked change in the lives of over 75,000 school children in 13 states of India.

Extending our understanding of the generous Indians, expansion in the digital space is a crucial focus area for CAF India to strengthen communication with internet-savvy population. We have found a new voice through our recently launched blogging platform called "CAF India Conversation " to engage with our vast online audience. Your opinions, ideas and thoughts on this platform will be warmly appreciated.

Wish everyone a brighter and more generous 2015.

Thank You,
Meenakshi Batra

Chief Executive

Sumana Singh – Project Officer, Programs Team

My journey began at CAF India on 5th March, 2014 with wholesome knowledge of the education sector. AT CAF India, I have got plenty of opportunities to learn from various projects related to sanitation, education, disability, skill building etc. Till now I have conducted 76 monitoring field visits for various projects like 'Coca-Cola NDTV Support My

School project', 'Skill Building supported by Accenture', 'Physical and Emotional Theaurapetic Services of Girls belonging to Leprosy' by Steve Waugh Foundation, Pond Revival supported by 'Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Private Ltd' and many more. These visits enlarged my knowledge pool and gave me plenty opportunities to learn from different charity partners. The scope of learning increased when I interacted with the beneficiaries who gave me insights on grants utilization from different donors and our commitment that has helped improve lives of the underprivileged.

My responsibilities at CAF India are not just limited to ensuring the qualitative aspects in projects but also towards time bound qualitative reports, financial compliances, site visit for project monitoring, value addition to projects, desk appraisal of proposals received from partners and audit compliances.

CAF India has been doing outstanding work in various areas and it is satisfying to be a part of the positive change in the society. It motivates me to devote my time and energy for social causes. I am fortunate to be a part of the organization, which has helped me broaden my horizon. As of now, I am managing 106 partners for various project partners that includes Accenture, Amex, Pepsico, Shri Ram, Steve Waugh & Coca-Cola.
