CAF India releases report on ‘Online Giving in India’

CAF India released the first phase of its research report titled Online Giving in India on 9 September 2015 which is based on a pilot study on the online giving landscape in the country. Being the first critical effort to collect information on digital trends/practices in the

not-for-profit sector, the study primarily aimed at filling key knowledge gaps in the sector. It also set out to identify key fundraising trends, effective practices to enhance online donations, willingness to adopt these practices and audience attitudes.


Click2Clean set to convert cities into litter-free zones

We launched the Click2Clean initiative, which aims to ‘clean up’ selected unclean and littered public spaces in cities, through collective action by citizens, governments and the private sector. This community-driven campaign is initially being rolled out in Delhi-

NCR with plans for expansion. Citizens simply have to click and upload photographs of ‘unclean’ and littered public spaces, after which a screening committee will select 100 sites from all the images received and will take measures to ensure that the sites become litter-free within a given timeframe. A new page on Facebook has been created to help citizens upload images


Right To Sanitation receives Best Fundraising Award

We are delighted to announce that our Right To Sanitation (RTS) campaign has won the best fundraising initiative award (1st Runner Up) at the 5th Asian Customer Engagement Forum (ACEF) Awards for excellence in marketing, branding and CSR in 2015. Microsoft India employees celebrate NGO Day

Microsoft India Development Centre (MSIDC) employees and the NGOs they support celebrated NGO Day together over two days, starting on

1 October. Jointly facilitated by MSIDC and CAF India, it was also a pre-launch event for the Giving campaign. Moreover, the employees who have been donating to these NGOs for years through the Give As You Earn programme, finally got the opportunity to meet the representatives to learn more about their work and impact, at the MSIDC office on 28 and 29 September.


Strengthening non-profits through inclusive partnerships

We partnered with UPS foundation to organise a two-day workshop on ‘Strengthening growth of non-profits through inclusive partnerships’ for 15 NGOs from Delhi-NCR. Experts from various fields, including finance and tax management, law, marketing and

communications,etc shared their knowledge with the NGO representatives. The workshop aimed to address the challenges they face regarding governance, internal control procedures, financial management, FCRA laws, strategic planning and online fundraising.

Aslam Naved, Senior Manager, Corporate Advisory

MD Aslam Naved has been with CAF India for more than two years and brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the development sector. He has been involved in advisory services for companies, project conceptualisation and development, building strategic alliances and networking with corporates and other institutions. He has experience in managing programmes at a national and state level.

At CAF India, Aslam has successfully conceptualised various programmes for corporate and institutional donors, including Banega Swachh India (Dettol-NDTV), Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir disaster relief, Toilets Change Lives (Kimberly-Clark), Addressing Learning Disability through Innovative Technology (Rolls-Royce), Promoting Quality Education in Government Schools (IHG), Community Sanitation Project (Welspun) and Nirmal Bharat (Herbalife India). Aslam has also developed operations and systems to improve the quality of CSR projects, effective grants management and resource mobilisation. His strength lies in programme design, management and communication, research, innovative solutions for CSR investment, high quality project proposals, technical briefs and concept notes.

We attended a seminar conducted by Coca-Cola Women on Wings on 16 September in Gurgaon, highlighting their new initiative 5by20 aimed at creating five million jobs by 2020 in Southeast Asia.

CAF India designed and conducted a session during VANI’s annual conference called ‘Innovative financing for voluntary organisations’ held on 9 September.
