In this issue, we share the success and inspiring story of Shila and Srilekha, two of the many beneficiaries who have been supported through the GAYE payroll funding. Apart from key highlights and updates for the first quarter of the financial year, the newsletter also highlights the recent notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs on NGO FCRA license. In our continuous endeavour to help support our NGO partners, we have introduced a new section for best practices which will cover different aspects of project management in each issue. In the second edition of NGO Engagement and Validation newsletter, we bring you the recent activities and developments at CAF India. We are elated to inform you that CAF India is now 35 AC approved. To enhance accountability and transparency in the not-for-profit sector CAF India signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). As the title partner of India CSR Summit, CAF India addressed many developmental challenges during the two-day event held in Mumbai. We are constantly striving to engage our stakeholders and build capacities of our NGO partners, with this objective CAF India hosted a NGO meet in Mumbai, and a capacity building workshop in Bengaluru. We welcome you to our first ever edition of CAF India's NGO Engagement and Validation newsletter. Our CEO, Ms. Meenakshi Batra writes about the role of CAF India in the not-for-profit sector and how CAF India catalyses positive and meaningful change in the lives of the marginalised. CAF India is a pioneer in validating NGOs in the country for close to two decades, we aspire to enable our NGO partners mobilise resources for optimum impact on-ground. A capacity building booklet was released at the end of a capacity building workshop held for NGOs in New Delhi. We shared our expertise on fundraising with our NGO partners to enable them raise funds. We share with you the first quarter impact of the financial year 2016-17. We are jubilant to inform that our unique online giving platform Give4Good is free for our validated partners.
