In this issue we share stories of Akshara and how 80 villagers of Daringabadi, Odisha came together with support from CAF India validated NGO, Goonj, for infrastructure development in solving their problem of water scarcity. Our esteemed partners share their experience of association with CAF India. We are pleased to highlight our partner, Microsoft India for their extensive support in helping the marginalised through their giving campaign and volunteering activities. As a note of thanks, over 100 employees of Microsoft India received personalised hand written thank you notes from children for supporting them. CAF India also presented the platform to our partners, Accenture and CWT to share their views on giving at the India CSR Summit.

In this issue we bring you the success story of Munnikrishnamma and Akshara. India moved up to 91st position from 106th in terms of giving as per CAF World Giving Index. CAF India has signed an MoU with IICA to enhance credibility and accountability in the CSR space. We are happy to inform you that CAF India is now 35AC approved. CAF India jointly organised a series of capacity building workshops for our NGO partners with support from Microsoft - IDC.”

In this edition, we bring you the story of how with your support towards our employee giving programme Give As You Earn 19-years-old Neeta’s life transformed after skill building training and how a stray cat became a loved pet at the rescue centre. How our Give As You Earn programme was the cynosure at the HT Shine HR Conclave held in Gurgaon and The Hindu Shine HR Conclave held in Chennai. Our CEO, Meenakshi Batra won the “Indian Women Achiever Award” 2016 in the non-profit category.
