This research was conducted by Prakruthi in partnership with CAF India, Change Alliance, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Praxis and National Foundation for India to facilitate improved understanding about the current practices followed by Corporate Foundations for development work. It is an attempt to understand the role of corporate foundations in the development space, their role vis-Ã -vis the entities that support them, the challenges and opportunities they face specifically in reference to the changes brought about by the Companies Act 2013.
For the purpose of the study, the top 300 listed companies were taken as the sample size, amongst the universe of active companies in India to understand how large amount of corporate funds will be channeled into development activities.
