‘Tailoring training added a new dimension to my life’

Usha belongs to a low socio-economic background. Meeting ends meet was always a challenge for her family. Her father got her married at an early age and she migrated from Tirchi (her home town) to Bangalore.Since her family’s monthly income was still low, it was imperitive for her to acquire a skill and support her family.

A project by CAF India ‘Skill to Succeed’ implemented by BOSCO and funded by Accenture helped Usha to enroll in a tailoring trainning program. Today Usha runs her own home business and earns over INR 10,000 per month. The training not only helped her support her family but also made her self-reliant and gave her a new identity.
