Rajesekaran, a resident of Vinayagapuram village completed his twelfth standard but could not continue his studies due to the financial crisis in the family. To support his father and two younger brothers, he started working in a brick making industry as a load man. The family continued to struggle to make ends meet.
A project by CAF India ‘Skill to Succeed’ implemented by Action for Child Labour (CHOLAI) funded by Accenture supported Rajesekaran to learn driving and assisted him to aquire a driving license. Today he is working as a driver in a private company, and earns over INR 12000 per month. The programme helped Rajesekaran support his family and educate his two younger brothers.
